The lightweight outer shell is constructed from a technologically advanced impact-resistant thermoplastic. The thermo-injected shell features a special polymer blend enhanced by varying degrees of thickness, engineered to deliver superior impact protection without unnecessary weight. The multiple-density inner liner ensures the correct density is utilized in critical areas for enhanced absorption, while both inner and outer surfaces are shaped to minimize the effects of oblique impacts.
Safety is further enhanced by Alpinestars’ patented low-friction coating on the main EPS liner, designed to reduce rotational acceleration forces during an impact. The patented visor release system ensures the visor detaches with a pre-determined amount of force, reducing potential strain on the rider's neck. For convenience during long rides, hydration tube channels are seamlessly integrated into the cheek pads.
