The SMX Waterproof Jacket is an engineered sports-focused riding solution designed for optimal performance and protection in varying weather conditions. Constructed from a premium blend of poly-fabric and stretch softshell, the chassis provides a lightweight, durable, and comfortable fit. For superior wet weather defense, it features a 2L waterproof membrane enhanced with a Durable Water Repellent (DWR) treatment, while a detachable thermal liner (100g body, 80g sleeves) allows for versatile climate configuration.
Safety is at the forefront of the design. This jacket is Tech-Air® 5 ready, incorporating strategically positioned stretch panel inserts to accommodate the Alpinestars Airbag System. This allow for expansion upon inflation while maintaining an anatomical fit when the system is not in use. Protection is further bolstered by Nucleon Flex Plus armor on the shoulders and elbows, complemented by DFS Lite shoulders with dynamic friction shields for enhanced abrasion resistance.
Designed for the active rider, the jacket features a sports body-mapped fit with pre-curved sleeves and an elongated rear for better coverage in the riding position. A shock cord waist and a low-profile sports collar with a soft lining ensure a secure and comfortable closure.
