Regardless of where you tear it up—track, canyon, or urban wasteland—the Scorpion EXO-R1 Air Carbon was designed, engineered, and tested to meet the demanding needs of Moto GP® and World Superbike® racing, while providing high-performance features that benefit every rider.
The helmet features a resin-infused TCT-U™ 3K carbon fiber shell or a multi-layered Ultra-TCT® composite shell, both meticulously crafted to minimize weight while maximizing strength and impact dispersal. Its aero-tuned shell sculpture reduces aerodynamic drag, improves balance, and maximizes mobility, while the advanced multi-layer EPS provides superior energy absorption and dedicated channels for increased airflow. The aero-tuned ventilation system utilizes a Ram-Air intake, a 4-port exhaust spoiler system, and EPS channels for an optimal flow-through effect.
For crystal-clear vision, the helmet comes with an optically superior Clear MaxVision® Pinlock-Ready® face shield that is anti-scratch coated and offers 95% UV-A and UV-B protection. The Elliptec® II quick-release mechanism ensures a superior shield-to-gasket seal with an integrated center lock. As a bonus, an additional dark smoke MaxVision® Pinlock® face shield and a Pinlock® anti-fog insert are included.
Inside, the removable and washable KwikWick® III interior keeps you cool and dry. The Airfit® inflation adjustment system allows for a custom fit to your cheek pads, effectively reducing wind noise and lift. For added convenience and safety, the helmet includes EMT-friendly emergency release cheek pads, integrated speaker pockets for Bluetooth® communication systems, and titanium double D-rings.
