Overview
The Stella Yaguara Drystar® Jacket is a premium touring garment engineered for durability, comfort, and superior weather protection. Constructed from a multi-panel advanced polyamide fabric shell, this jacket features a laminated Drystar® membrane that ensures full waterproofing and breathability. The bonded membrane construction results in a significantly lighter garment with reduced material bulk, making it an ideal choice for long-distance riders facing unpredictable conditions.
Designed for maximum safety, this jacket is compatible with Alpinestars’ class-leading Tech-Air® airbag system (sold separately). It includes integrated stretch gussets on the arms and sleeves to accommodate the inflated volume of the airbag without compromising seam strength. The sleeve features an LED display to indicate the airbag’s operational status, supported by internal conduits for the system vest’s ECU and hook-and-loop grip closure fixings for seamless integration. For those utilizing the Tech-Air® system, please note that full integration (zipping the vest directly into the jacket and using the quick connect cable for the LED panel) requires the Tech-Air® Race system, while the Tech-Air® 5 serves as a standalone compatible vest.
Comfort and fit are prioritized through an ergonomic design that works perfectly with or without the airbag system. It features multi-ventilation zippered openings on the arms, back, and sides, alongside a touring collar with microfiber edging and 3D textured comfort fabric. Pre-curved sleeves reduce riding fatigue, while buckle waist adjustments and multiple sleeve volume adjusters prevent material bunching and ensure a personalized fit.
Protection is reinforced with internal Bio Air shoulder and elbow protectors, elbow aramid fiber reinforcement, and over-molded advanced Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) guards layered under the outer fabric. The jacket also includes compartments for Nucleon chest and back inserts (available as an accessory upgrade).
Storage is optimized for touring with two front hand pockets, seamless chest and hand pockets with gussets, a large back utility pocket, and internal waterproof pockets for secure storage of small belongings. Reflective prints increase night visibility, and a waist connection zipper allows for secure attachment to Alpinestars riding pants.
