A key material technology advancement found in the Racing Absolute v2 is the use of Alpinestars Composite Stretch technology, or A-CS®Tech. Located throughout the side torso, shoulder blades, and upper knee areas, A-CS®Tech replaces traditional leather accordion panels. This innovation provides increased breathability and a lower profile while being approximately 9% lighter. The technology features 30% elongation, with tear resistance increased by 288% compared to Hyper Resistant Stretch Fiber (HRSF) and cut resistance increased by 600% versus leather, delivering performance highly comparable to kangaroo leather.
The suit’s construction is further enhanced with Matryx® material on the lower leg for weight reduction and breathability. High-elasticity Kevlar®-reinforced stretch panels are utilized in the inner arms, crotch, back of the legs, collar, and pectoral areas to ensure maximum mobility and increased protection. For superior abrasion resistance, the suit features schoeller®-keprotec seam reinforcements at the elbows and knees.
