A key innovation in the Racing Absolute v2 is Alpinestars Composite Stretch technology (A-CS®Tech). Integrated into the side torso, shoulder blades, and upper knee areas, A-CS®Tech replaces traditional leather accordion panels. This advanced material is approximately 9% lighter and offers a lower profile while providing 30% elongation. Its protective capabilities are exceptional, with tear resistance increased by 288% compared to Hyper Resistant Stretch Fiber (HRSF) and cut resistance increased by 600% versus traditional leather, delivering performance comparable to kangaroo leather with even higher impact abrasion results.
For optimized weight reduction and breathability, the suit features Matryx® material on the lower leg. Key flexion zones, including the inner arms, crotch, back of the legs, collar, and pectoral areas, utilize Kevlar®-reinforced stretch panels for high elasticity and increased protection. The construction is further bolstered by schoeller®-keprotec seam reinforcements at the elbows and knees.
